MEASUREMENT OF THE TURBULENCE OF AIR FLOWS AND FLAMES BY THE OPTICAL-DIFFUSION METHOD,

Abstract

The results of several investigations of the turbulence of airflows and flames using a new method are given. This method is a modification of the diffusion method, combining simplicity and clarity with speed in obtaining data by the hot-wire anemometric method. In evaluating comparative data, measurements, etc., numerous formulae and relationships, such as that of Lagrange, Euler, Taylor and Goldenberg, are used in order to derive mathematical expressions in order to interpret the results.
