DIFFRACTION OF VLF WAVES BY THE MOON,

Abstract

The diffracted field of a VLF source located in the presence of a lossy dielectric sphere imbedded in an isotropic plasma is investigated. The results show an increase in diffracted energy as the source frequency approaches the plasma frequency. A quantitative description of the field near and at the antipode of the source is given.
