LUBRICATING AND COOLING FLUID FOR HOT WORKING OF METALS,
Abstract
Described is a lubricant-coolant for hot machining of metals. The lubricant is based on water or on a water emulsion of mineral oil. For greater effectiveness the lubricant incorporates a polyorganosiloxane liquid and an emulsifier, such as solvar. The composition is as follows: 0.01-0.05% polyorganosiloxane liquid; 0.0004-0.002% solvar, and water or water emulsion of mineral oil to make up 100%. (Author)
