EVALUATION OF THE MAXIMUM QUANTITY OF INFORMATION CONTAINED IN A RECOGNIZABLE SIGNAL,

Abstract

The possibility of applying the concept of quantity of information in recognition problems is discussed. Detailed tables are presented. It specifies the amount of information in a random number which assumes N equally probable values for the case where the number suffers symmetric distortion with probability Alpha. (Author)
