SKYHOOK CHURCHILL 1969.

Abstract

The Skyhook Churchill Program originated in 1959 when five scientific experiments were flown on polyethylene balloons. Subsequent years found increasing numbers of scientists participating in this program. The 1969 Skyhook crew was in the field at Fort Churchill for a period of six weeks. Secondary phases were conducted at Resolute Bay, Cornwallis Island, N.W.T., Canada where one flight was launched during a twenty day period and at Sioux Falls, with the launching of four flights during the month of September.
