ELECTROMAGNETIC SCATTERING FROM A FINITE TUBULAR CYLINDER: NUMERICAL SOLUTIONS AND DATA. I. DEVELOPMENT OF THEORY,

Abstract

The method of approximate product-integration is applied to solve numerically the integral equations of the total currents on the surfaces of the finite tubular cylinder with complete generality both in radius and length. Procedures have been devised to take care of the square-root singularity of the transverse total current at the end of the cylinder. Numerical data of total currents, far-field patterns and scattering cross sections are tabulated, and also shown in graphs. Volume I contains the text, appendices, equations, computer programs and figures. (Author)
