A NET REQUIREMENTS ESTIMATION MODEL (NETREM).

Abstract

The dollars required for the procurement of recoverable spares are directly related to the flying-hour program for a fleet of aircraft. This relationship is extremely important. A constraint on the dollars available for procurement of spares may dictate a cutback in fleet flying-hours, or inversely, an increase in fleet flying-hours will cause an increase in the dollar requirements. The Net Requirements Estimation Model (NETREM) estimates the net dollar requirement for procurement of recoverable spares for various fleet flying-hour programs. The model computes dollar requirements as a function of the new program and the known requirements at the old flying-hour program. (Author)
