DEVICE FOR DETERMINING THE FLAPPING OF HELICOPTER ROTOR BLADES,

Abstract

A description is given of a device for determining the flapping of a helicopter rotor blade. The device contains zero and first harmonic transducers and indicators which are electrically connected. To increase reliability and simplify the design, the device has a gimbal joint with a bearing and a boss. This joint is mounted movably and coaxially to a shaft on a guide which is connected to the zero harmonic transducer. The device also has bearing carriers connecting the elements of the blade hub with the outer bearing ring. The inner bearing ring is connected with the first harmonic transducers mounted on the boss of the gimbal joint which is connected to the zero harmonic transducers. (Author)
