GAMMA RADIATION BUILD-UP FACTORS FOR FINITE MEDIA,

Abstract

Experimentally investigated in the work were energy build-up factors for gamma-radiation in the energy range 0.412 to 2.75 Mev from point isotropic sources for finite homogeneous media in the form of water and aluminum cylinders in the experiment the point isotropic source of gamma-radiation and a detector were placed on the axis of the cylindrical shield against the end faces of the latter, and the dependence of intensity of gamma-radiation on length l and radius r of the cylinder measured.
