SOME PROBLEMS IN THE TECHNOLOGY OF PRODUCING LARGE FORGINGS FROM ALLOY B93,

Abstract

The article discusses the problems involved with wide industrial acceptance of perspective alloys bearing the trademarks B93 and B95 of the Al-Zn-Mg-Cu system. The nature of the alloys demands detailed refinements in the technology of casting circular ingots of large diameter and optimum conditions for heat-treatment of those alloys under pressure, i.e., by methods of forging and stamping.
