HumRRO RESEARCH ON PROJECT 100,000

Abstract

The paper presents the general research plans and some findings of research associated with Project 100,000. The research objectives are to obtain information on what, if any, impact men taken into the Army under this program will have on training and operations, and to understand the relationship between measured aptitude and performance both in training and on the job. Summary data show the general relationship between Armed Forces Qualification Test scores and performance to include laboratory tasks and operational training. One of the conclusions is that efficient and effective training must take into account individual differences. Plans are presented which have the goal of providing necessary information on factors involved and techniques to account for them.
