LITERATURE SEARCH: INJECTION MOLDING PROCESSING PARAMETERS,

Abstract

This study is concerned with the relationship between processing parameters and the physical and mechanical properties of injection molded parts thus produced. Subjects of primary interest were: injection pressure and temperature; mold temperature and molding cycle; flow rate, shear rate, melt viscosity and elastic shear stresses of plastic in the mold; internal stresses in the molded part; and instrumentation for measurement of these parameters. A total of 164 references are cited. The high-lights of these various pieces of information are discussed. (Author)
