BOUNDARY CONDITIONS FOR THE MOMENT EQUATIONS OF A RAREFIED GAS,

Abstract

Analysis of the relation between gasdynamics and Boltzmann equations in the description of the kinetic behavior of rarefied gases. The concept of physical and mathematical boundedness is applied in setting a boundary condition for the moment equations of such gases. A new type of boundary conditions is proposed for the Navier Stokes equations of a rarefied gas. (Author)
