A discussion of an ambitious Soviet project to totally automate airport operations highlights this issue. An SCR feature surveys Soviet use of computers in medicine, noting achievements in computer diagnosis of cardiac diseases, computer use in brain and cancer research, and in treatment of paralytics in Soviet health resorts.
