EVENT FREQUENCY MEMORY AND CATEGORIZATION PERFORMANCE AS A FUNCTION OF CONDITIONS OF FEEDBACK,

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to investigate human statistical discrimination as a variety of memory performance which is subject to interference of a predicted kind, and the extent to which it is also influenced by feedback and motivational considerations. Human stimulus event frequency discrimination was studied in the context of two time-shared categorization tasks of differing complexities. (Author)
