THEORETICAL PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS AND WIND EFFECTS FOR THE AEROBEE 170,

Abstract

Trajectories were simulated and wind effects computed for the Aerobee 170, using a five-degree-of-freedom trajectory simulation program. Performance characteristics, wind effects, and a ballistic wind-weighting function are presented in graphical form for payloads varying from 150 to 550 pounds for ogive and cone-cylinder configurations.
