SELECTION OF POSSIBLE LUBRICANT ADDITIVES FOR HYDRAULIC FLUIDS.

Abstract

The purpose of the project was to examine the lubrication characteristics of possible lubricant additives and nonlubricant additives, and to determine which lubricant additives might be feasible as lubrication improvers for hydraulic fluids. The base oil of MIL-H-5606 was obtained and 30 possible lubricant additives and 10 nonlubricant additives in various selected concentrations were evaluated. (Author)
