ESTIMATION OF BINOMIAL PARAMETERS FROM SEARCH DATA

Abstract

The parameters of the binomial distribution are the constant probability from trial to trial, and the number of trials. In sampling from a binominal population, the number of trials is usually known. Here estimates are given from observed data, of the constant probability and (because it is also unknown) of the number of trials.
