RESEARCH ON THE STABILITY OF THE BODY-CENTRED-CUBIC STRUCTURE ON METALS AND ALLOYS.

Abstract

The experimental results obtained in this study of the stability of the body-centred-cubic structure in alloys of the noble metals demonstrate the complexity of a complete understanding of beta-phase stability. Although consistent interpretation in terms of simple, physical constants cannot be made, the observations point to the significant role played by ordering forces. (Author)
