TEMPERATURE STRESSES FORMING IN CYLINDERS UNDER THE EFFECT OF A LUMINOUS FLUX,

Abstract

Analyzed are temperature fields and stresses produced in cylinders by a monochromatic isotropic radiant energy flux with the assumption that the material of the cylinder absorbs energy according to the Bouguer law. The results have been generalized for the case of a flux containing rays with a wave length changing in a given range. (Author)
