CRUISE REPORT - CHAIN CRUISE 95.

Abstract

The cruise was a single-leg cruise, with six moorings to be set and a number, previously set, to be recovered. Both engineering tests and scientific data collection were performed, including tests of armored nylon for fishbite resistance, telemetry capabilitiesm and current measurements in various configurations. In addition, two experiments were made near Bermuda in an effort to determine the shape and trajectory of moorings during free-fall anchor drop. Also, a series of tests was made with the CCTD (Conductivity, Current, Temperature and Depth Instrument). Hydrostations and BT's, as well, were taken. (Author)
