RAILCAR IMPACT TEST AND EVALUATION OF DUNNAGING PROCEDURES FOR WEAPON CRADLES MK 18-0.

Abstract

Rail impact tests were conducted by the Naval Weapons Handling Laboratory, NAD Earle on January 27 and 29, 1970 to determine whether proposed dunnaging procedures will provide adequate blocking and bracing to retain a carload of Mk 18 Mod 0 Cradles containing two assembled (dummy) Mk 20 Mod 2 Cluster bombs in each cradle.
