NEW SOVIET MILITARY DISTRICT FORMED.

Abstract

The fifteen military districts into which the Soviet Union is divided have recently been increased by the addition of one more-a sixteenth. This is the Central Asian Military District, the territory of which was taken from the extremely expansive Turkestan District. The formation of this new district was reported in the first issue of a new daily newspaper, Boyevoye Znamya, which has recently begun publication as the official organ of the Central Asian Mlitary District.
