SEQUENTIAL PROBABILITY RATIO TESTING METHODS FOR MULTIPLE LOT SAMPLING PLANS AND THEIR APPLICATIONS TO TESTS WHERE CENSORED ITEMS EXIST.

Abstract

Life testing of items, where testing is performed by use of sequential test techniques, can be applied to a multiple lot sampling type of plan. The problem of performing sequential life tests on items that are placed on life test at different times can be solved by use of a Sequential Probability Ratio (SPR) test. An SPR test plan is presented in this paper applicable to testing situations where multiple lots of test items are considered simultaneously. Test lots are not restricted in time as to when they can be placed on test. The problem of handling tests where censored items exist is also treated and incorporated into the SPR test. (Author)
