INVESTIGATION OF THE GENERALIZED LEIDENFROST PHENOMENON: FILM BOILING OF A DISCONTINUOUS LIQUID PHASE ON A FLAT PLATE.

Abstract

A number of aspects of the Leidenfrost Phenomenon have been investigated. This and other studies have laid a sufficient fundamental basis for the estimation of the possibility and consequences of the Leidenfrost phenomenon existing in any given engineering application, and for the design of a realistic experiment to do the specific testing needed.
