Abstract

Four articles devoted to process control and industrial automation are featured. One summarizes progress in the introduction of automated control systems in 5 Leningrad plants. Another details the use of computerized systems by the Soviet railroad network, including system shortcomings. Of interest are plans for an automated ticketing and seat reservation system. Other articles examine trends in the development of process contol systems, computer selection of specialization curricula in computational mathematics, and use of the computer to simulate experiments in psychology.
