INVESTIGATION OF ECLIPSING BINARY SYSTEMS.

Abstract

The principal aim of the program has been to place the determination of stellar masses and radii, from analysis of eclipsing binary systems, on a sound observational basis. The approach has been analysis of spectrographic material, supplemented by results from light curves. The systems analyzed have included both those previously known to show the lines of both components - a necessary condition for mass determination - and those discovered in the program to have double lines.
