CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE THEORY OF INTERFACIAL RATE PROCESSES IN FLOW SYSTEMS.

Abstract

The present results have been aimed at increasing our theoretical understanding of simultaneous convection-diffusion-reaction phenomena, with the results recapitulated (via abstracts) in the present summary report. Topics treated include the oxidation and ablation of solids, evaporation and combustion of droplets, particle dissolution, rotating disk reactors, transpiration cooling and nucleation in gas jets and boundary layers. A chronological list is provided of the 12 publications and 26 verbal presentations arising from the program. (Author)
