STUDY OF PLASTIC WAVE CHARACTERISTICS USING ELASTIC WAVES.

Abstract

The influence of plastic deformation on the propagation of elastic waves has been studied. Particular attention has been paid to attenuation as a function of plastic deformation, crystal type and orientation, and rate of deformation. Several interesting phenomena associated with cyclic loading were discovered which exist even for small elastic deformation. (Author)
