METHOD FOR QUANTIFYING SUBJECTIVE COSTS OF LARGE NUMBERS OF IMAGE INTERPRETATION ERRORS.

Abstract

A reliable and valid method of assessing error costs is essential for the development of optimal procedures for controlling image interpretation system output under changing military conditions. Research was undertaken to develop a method of quantifying the subjective costs that a commander in the field associates with the consequences of action taken on the basis of erroneous image interpretation reports.
