Abstract

Elastomeric carboranesiloxane polymers of the Sib-1 type have been prepared from C2B5 analogs of C2B10 by sterically inhibiting crystallite formation via the introduction of an occasional C2B8 or C2B10 moiety. Crystallization of the modified Sib-1 polymers on standing was prevented by the introduction of covalent crosslinks. (Author)
