TECHNIQUE FOR POWDER LUBRICATION OF A BEARING,

Abstract

An author certificate has been issued for a technique for powder lubricating a bearing by blowing the lubricant, e.g., molybdenum disulfide, through the bearing by means of a carrier gas. To improve the accuracy of lubricant proportioning and the bearing lubrication, the powder lubricant is premixed with a volatile liquid, such as ethanol, and the resulting paste is evenly proportioned into the carrier gas stream.
