INVESTIGATIONS ON THE BEHAVIOR AND SONIC ACTIVITY OF FISHES.
Abstract
A summary of research conducted from 15 June, 1967 to 15 September, 1969 is presented. Research emphasized the use of the Bimini Video-Acoustic Installation for purposes of demonstrating whether the system can be used in marine biological research and specifically as aid in unraveling important relationships between: (1) behavioral activities of free-living animals and their environment, and (2) between such activities and acoustical phenomena. Important supplementary studies carried out under laboratory conditions are also reviewed. (Author)
