COMPUTER-AIDED DESIGN OF PASSIVE FILTERS IN THE FREQUENCY DOMAIN USING GRADIENT-PROJECTION MINIMIZATION TECHNIQUES.

Abstract

An algorithm for the computer-aided design of passive electrical filters using minimization techniques is presented. The configuration, or topology of the filter and its desired frequency response are specified. A measure of the deviation between the desired and the actual frequency response is minimized using the gradient projection search method. Examples are presented which demonstrate the performance of the minimization procedure. (Author)
