MEASUREMENT OF VERY HIGH TEMPERATURES.

Abstract

In view of the importance of the distinction between thermal motion and random mass-motion in a plasma, effort has been devoted to the analysis of the velocity field from the Doppler broadening of spectral emission-lines. Work which can be fruitfully undertaken in the future is outlined. (Author)
