MANUAL FOR THE USE OF THE KEYSORT FILES OF ABSTRACTS IN PHOTOGRAPHIC SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING.

Abstract

The report consists of a Working Manual for the use of the files of Abstracts of Photographic Science and Engineering Literature (including Technology) which have been transferred to McBee 'Keysort' edgepunch cards. These files are described in detail, covering the design and philosophy of indexing, the coverage, and their use. The report consists of two main parts, the first covering the sections containing Abstracts from 1958 onward. The second main part consists of a copy of the Instruction Manual prepared for the earlier section of the Files. Both Sections include supplemental material such as indexes, instructions for the use of the McBee 'Keysort Cards' and equipment, etc. (Author)
