MINIATURE DISPLAY UNIT,

Abstract

A display unit designed with a magnetic-deflection-type miniature kinescope and transistors is described. The unit operates on the TV principle and is intended for desk-type digital computers. Its principal connection diagram is briefly explained. The display unit has these technical characteristics: anode voltage, 9 kv; line frequency, 1500 Hz; frame frequency, 50 Hz; sweep nonlinearity, 15 percent for lines, 5 percent for frames; temperature range, 5 plus 50C with a voltage variation within plus or minus 10 percent; amplitude of input sync pulses, 5 v; their duration, 4 mu sec; modulating-pulse duration, 2 mu sec; dimensions 120 x 230 x 130 mm.
