THE EFFECTS OF PROCESSING ON THE DIMENSIONAL STABILITY OF BERYLLIUM MIRRORS,

Abstract

The accumulated experience indicates that beryllium is not an ideally stable material. Recent research has resulted in a significant advance in the understanding of the reasons for this instability. It is the purpose of this memorandum to point out some of the reasons for this instability and to indicate methods to avoid it. (Author)
