PERFORMANCE, RECOVERY AND MAN-MACHINE EFFECTIVENESS.

Abstract

The purpose of the program is the generation of basic data concerning human performance and recovery within several work systems settings under conditions of varied environments, task demands motivational levels, and nutritional factors. Further to generate from this basic data the solution to real problems and recommended procedures for man's operation under varying conditions of the work system, e.g., work-facilitating period combinations for various task types, durations of tasks, environments, etc., determination of man's ability to participate in continuous military operations, procedures, and methods for improved team operations, optimal work-rest schedules for crews of vehicles creating a vibrational environment, etc. (Author)
