SU(3) X SU(3) BREAKING AND THE MESON SYSTEM.

Abstract

The paper discusses a chiral Lagrangian model of spin O and spin 1 mesons transforming linearly under SU(3) X SU(3) broken in a way to preserve field-current identity, SU(3) invariance of Schwinger terms, and PCAC at SU(2) level and determines F sub k/(F sub pi)(f sub + (0)) with reasonable agreement with experiment.
