SIMPLE ESTIMATES OF WAKE VELOCITY PARAMETERS

Abstract

A technique for using a sequence of two-pulse bursts for obtaining estimates of mean wake velocity and wake velocity width was proposed. The derivation of this technique was based on heuristic reasoning. The report derives the same estimates from the theory of maximum likelihood estimation.
