MASS MEDIA SIMULATION PROGRAM USER'S MANUAL,

Abstract

The mass media simulation herein described allows a researcher to estimate the extent of exposure of a population to themes carried in mass media over a period of time. The simulation program accepts input data about the mass media and their content, about the audience population, and about their media habits, and combines these data to produce reach and frequency statistics for various message combinations. The user is in conversational mode interaction with the computer in the input phases of the simulation. The manual provides information on the operation of the simulation and contains detailed instructions for users. (Author)
