SIMULATION OF INTERFERENCE OF PACKETS IN THE ALOHA TIME-SHARING SYSTEM.

Abstract

The report describes a simulation of the random access communication method proposed in the University of Hawaii ALOHA time-sharing system. The simulation employs GPSS/360 to provide some insight into the upper limit of active users the ALOHA System may be able to support, the average number of retransmissions required as a function of active users and the number of times a given packet needs to be transmitted.
