TECHNICAL EVALUATION OF INTERROGATOR SET AN/TPX-42 TYPE III AND TYPE IV SYSTEMS (DIRECT ALTITUDE AND IDENTITY READOUT).

Abstract

The purpose of this project was to determine the technical suitability of the AN/TPX-42 DAIR equipment for extracting and decoding beacon identity and altitude replies and displaying the results in an acceptable form on a PPI presentation. In addition, the technical system performance of the DAIR equipment was to be examined in an ATC terminal environment. (Author)
