EVALUATION OF A PROTOTYPE UNIT FOR TELEMETRY OF RECTAL TEMPERATURES,

Abstract

Studies were conducted to determine whether pulsed tone burst (A2 emission) would provide acceptable data during the telemetering of body core temperatures under actual field conditions. It was determined that it provided usable temperature data at ranges up to 1,000 yards in hilly terrain and up to 600 yards in dense scrub. (Author)
