NEW ELECTRONIC SYSTEM FOR USRD ANECHOIC-TANK FACILITY.

Abstract

The transducer calibration system of the Anechoic Tank Facility at USRD has been improved by replacing its original components with electronic equipment of the latest design. A precision frequency synthesizer, a unique synthesizer controller, toneburst and receive-gate generators, a receive amplifier, a peak detector, and improvements to linear and polar recorders have been installed. They are described in detail and illustrated with schematic electronic diagrams of the USRD-designed units. Integrated circuits and semiconductors have been used throughout. (Author)
