AN EXPERIMENT OF DEVELOPMENT OF INFORMATION RETRIEVAL LANGUAGE IN SECTIONS OF TECHNICAL INFORMATION AT ENTERPRISES AND IN ORGANIZATIONS

Abstract

The various aspects of information service work at R and D bodies are considered, and the Reference Files of a developmental body are characterized. From a study of information requests, a user analysis is attempted. The necessity and possibility is argued of developing a common information-retrieval language for the plant's information service. Methods of IRL preparation are reviewed, and main problems in creating and implementing it are given. Analyzed are the vocabulary, structure and use of IRL. A view of future work is presented.
