INVARIANCE IN LINEAR SYSTEMS,

Abstract

Several authors have considered the problem of invariance in linear systems. Cruz and Perkins have obtained certain necessary and sufficient conditions for one definition of invariance while McClamroch and Aggrwal have obtained other conditions for another definition of invariant systems. In this paper it is shown that these two concepts are distinct and some of the ramifications of the concepts of invariance are discussed. (Author)
