A COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR THE DESIGN OF MULTIVARIABLE DECOUPLED FEEDBACK SYSTEMS,

Abstract

The computer program was written to calculate all the data required for Gilbert's solution to the decoupling problem. Input to the program consists of the A, B, and C matrices in part 1 of his paper. Output is the integers, constants, and matrices listed in part 8. A mathematical description of the calculations required is found in a paper by Gilbert and Pivnichny. The purpose of this report is to describe the actual program in sufficient detail so that the reader who is familiar with the previously mentioned papers of Gilbert, and Gilbert and Pivnichny will be able to use the program to solve specific decoupling problems. A description of the program, input and output data formats, a flowchart, a program listing, and a sample problem are given.
