FLIGHT DYNAMICS: TRAJECTORIES OF FLIGHT VEHICLES (SELECTED PARTS),

Abstract

In addition to the Annotation of the forewords to the first and second edition, the translation encompasses sections of the monograph dealing with the theoretical flight dynamics of three dimensional maneuvers and the calculation of the trajectory of a winged rocket aircraft. Calculation equations are given for the chandelle; only brief descriptions are given of the half roll, Immelmann, and roll. Extensive mathematical treatment of the behavior of a rocket powered winged vehicle in the atmosphere is presented from the point of view of the variational problem of the optimum flight program.
